Whether it's visiting farms, trying your hand at growing food, reading our latest blogs or volunteering at our events, we'd love to get to know you. Check out our programs and activities. Our exclusive engagement opportunities are often promoted through our free eNewletter (sign up here!) or for Iowa Food & Family Project Champions.

Throughout the year, Iowa FFP Champions  – individuals like you who want to take a proactive role in learning more about all things food and farming – are invited to participate in special learning activities. The activities include business and farm tours and meeting with individuals and groups who are involved in agriculture.

An exclusive dive into agriculture and food production.

From research centers to restaurant kitchens, each stop is focused on expanding perspectives and exploring the how food goes from Iowa farms to your table.

Where forks and farming meet.

Expedition Farm Country gives Iowans a firsthand look at how food is grown and raised. The annual two-day event invites 50 participants to tour farms, meet farm families and have honest conversations about modern agriculture. Plus, the trip showcases local eateries, historic sites and the best of rural living along the way!

Farming and gardening have a lot in common.

Let's Grow Together encourages Iowans to try their hand at food and flower gardening while learning firsthand the many similarities gardening has with farming. Both farming and gardening take hard work, spark ingenuity and inspire an intense appreciation for where food really comes from.
