Farming and Gardening Have a Lot in Common!

We invite you to join us in celebrating all things related to Iowa agriculture, gardening and farming at two May events held at the Ankeny and Carroll Earl May Garden Centers. 

Let's Grow Together, in partnership with Earl May Garden Centers, encourages Iowans to try their hand at food and flower gardening while learning firsthand the many similarities gardening has with farming. Both farming and gardening take hard work, spark ingenuity and inspire an intense appreciation for where food really comes from.

Ankeny - Earl May Garden Center 1509 N Ankeny Blvd, Ankeny, IA 50023 Sat., May 18 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Family-friendly event with provided food and drink, spin wheel trivia and prizes, kid’s planting activity, educational booths and more! Featuring balloon artist Professor Von Air, Iowa musician Andrew Hoyt and cookbook signing with blogger Cristen Clark.

Carroll - Earl May Garden Center 1607 Radiant Rd, Carroll, IA 51401 Thurs., May 23 from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Enjoy a night out with provided food and drink (courtesy of Iowa Pork Producers), wine tastings, planting activity, spin wheel trivia, educational booths and more! Featuring Iowa musician Ben Puttmann and cookbook signing with blogger Cristen Clark.
